Building-Blocks for IoT Security

Arrayent is building the most secure, scalable, reliable, and flexible IoT Platform for trusted consumer product brands, and we are often asked to weigh in on topics like this IoT Security article from Enterprise Tech. In the article, Arrayent founder, Shane Dyer, talks about securing the hardware largely by keeping the device clean and simple.

Brands must demonstrate everyday value with connected products

Manufacturers are scrambling to understand “where to draw the line” when it comes to what kinds of new functionality to enable with IoT. In this article from 1to1 Media, Arrayent CEO Cyril Brignone explains the approaches that brands must take to navigate the decisions around IoT use cases. Products will resonate with consumers if they demonstrate everyday value, whereas customers may pull away if the new products add more complexity or annoying steps to their life.  Peace of mind (is my house safe?  Is my garage door closed?) and the automation of routine tasks (turn off lights and furnace/AC when I leave the house) will […]

IoT Success Requires New Design Thinking

This week one of our most experienced Solutions Architects, Albert Au, was invited to share some of his “IoT Lessons Learned” with an EE Times Blog. Albert first notes the shift in focus to “system design” since connected products are much larger systems than there non-connected predecessors.  This requires bigger problems to be solved around verification and security. Another critical thing to understand is “that companies that create connected products are undergoing a transformational shift in their business model that will affect product design. The IoT connection opens up an ongoing relationship with the customer — it’s no longer about driving a one-off […]

The Myth of Home Automation

Arrayent CEO Cyril Brignone and Electronic Design interviewer William Wong pack a lot of home automation and IoT wisdom into this Q&A session. Cyril’s 15 years of experience in IoT has shown him what has changed and what has stayed the same in the industry. Homeowners are slow to adopt complete home automation or security systems. The homeowner is more likely to slowly add connected point solution products one at a time, purchasing products that are able to play with other leading connected products.  Connected products from multiple vendors can easily play together when connected to the right IoT Platforms. […]

In the article, Arrayent founder, Shane Dyer, talks about securing the hardware largely by keeping the device clean and simple.  Putting too much complexity in the devices makes them more vulnerable since closing all the security attack points gets much more difficult with every line of device code. With IoT you can push most of the product design complexity to the cloud, where we have a much […]

Arrayent positioned to grow IoT Platform Leadership under new CEO

We were honored to see mention of Arrayent’s CEO change alongside other big name 2015 CEO changes (like Cisco and Evernote) in this article from Vator News. Arrayent has pioneered and led the Connected Consumer Product IoT Platform market since 2007 with the largest customer base of Trusted Brands (like Whirlpool, Chamberlain/Liftmaster, OSRAM/Sylvania, and many more).  As we experience the IoT market taking off, this new phase of sales growth and platform innovation will be led by Cyril Brignone (CEO), who has demonstrated strength in both of these areas in his 4 plus years at Arrayent.  Hiring is accelerating again as we climb up […]
